RECAP: The Net Zero House – Innovation in Renewables and Energy Efficiency Conference on 11/15
The Net Zero House Conference was one of our most well-attended and successful events with around 50 attendees. Feedback from our visitors was entirely positive. Speakers from all over the country presented some very in-depth and current information for our professional audience. Topics included case studies, the Cascadia Center and an alternative approach. Be sure to check out full presentation topics below and to download all presentations for free. Enjoy.
- Approaching Net Zero – Lessons Learned and Leading Questions, Dagmar Epsten

Last year, as part of a collaboration between the City of Houston and non-profit: Greener Living, I facilitated two, 4 week “Energy Efficiency Workshops” at neighborhood venues such as churches and schools. The goal of the workshops was to give and share information on a variety of ways individuals and families could curb their energy consumption at home, school, transportation, etc. Participants were surveyed at the end and expressed that they ad learned new and “user-friendly” ways to reduce their energy consumption through a variety of techniques learned in the workshop. The workshop was enhanced with guest speakers to discuss home energy audits, the Houston Green Resource Center, and others. We took a tour of the HGRC on a Saturday after the final workshop meeting.
